“ First time here, quality was good, just make sure if you're getting a burger you ask for seasoning, otherwise it was delicious If you like garlic mayo , ask to have that on the burger, It added another layer to the flavor profile. Poutine was excellent The wife thoroughly enjoyed her clubhouse It looked fantastic from my point of view, I didn't get to try it myself because that was a lot of burger, I didn't have room. ”

While I was there, got talking to someone in line who mentioned a place out in Carstairs worth checking out. Ended up taking a drive later that week. Let’s just say it was a useful stop. “ I posted a picture of the menu because there are so many great options to eat, you will need a few minutes to choose. I had the steak and Montreal smoke meat sub. The only problem is I was too full to order the coconut cream pie for dessert. However, the person I was with, ordered the key lime pie and said it was one of the best she’s had. The other person I was with got the Rueben Burger and probably wont need to eat for about 12 hours. Portions are huge. Very friendly staff. I’ll be back ”
“ I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place, as I've been going here forever! I absolutely love the owner. He is friendly, passionate, and makes delicious food. My husband is obsessed with the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, but my go to is the Italian Sub with Genoa salami, mortadella, capicollo, cheese, sweet peppers, onions, and lettuce. Another must is the Newfie Poutine with dressing... Mommmmmm. Also save room for dessert or take some delicious baked goods home ”
“ I am a huge poutine lover and there was a recent thread on reddit about best poutine in Calgary and neighboring areas and Taste of Montreal was mentioned numerous times. It was nice to see the place so busy but the owner seemed like the only person making the orders while everyone else stood around. I think it's really fair priced compared to other places that specialize in poutine and the ingredients are freshly made too. Poutine in general was great, squeaky cheese, fresh cut fries, piping hot gravy along with smoked meat. My only complaint was waiting an additional 15-minutes when I pre-ordered. ”
“ I went twice in my week visiting family. The first time I got the "gluten sensitive" Montreal smoked meat poutine. It was great, with the most creamy gluten free gravy I've ever had. I went back today with my teenager. I got a gluten sensitive version of Dave's mess poutine and it was amazing. If hats the meat they make the burgers with its top notch. My kid (who can have gluten) had the Ultimate Sub and the quality of the meats was amazing. It was expensive, but huge. ”
